The Centre for Mediation and Community Security

The Centre for Mediation and Community Security (CMSC) is an independent foundation established in 2000 in Iași, Romania. We aspire to build together with local communities models of development and cooperation aimed at providing a safer, open and sustainable space.
Through our projects we aim to develop and promote public policies and community development models, cooperation and the development of good practices, as well as campaigns or legislative initiatives that can contribute to a safer life for our communities.
CMSC has coordinated more than 30 regional projects since 2000 and continues its activities, with a constant focus on introducing new and better standards in community development and victim support. Since our creation, our highest priority has been the introduction of European and international community safety models, adapted to the needs and realities of the undeveloped region for both in rural and urban areas, in the north east part of Romania and in the 9 counties and 20 communities where we carry out our activity.
